Michael J. Devlin - Retired 2021
Founding Partner
Attorney Michael J. Devlin, one of the two founding members of the firm, has over 45 years of experience in the legal field and specializes in Personal Injury Law. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with his Bachelor's Degree in 1968 and his Juris Doctor in 1971. In 1975 he worked as a Public Defender at the Court of Common Pleas in Tolland County and was there until 1977 when Attorney Devlin and Attorney Robert F. Peters founded the firm. From 1985 to 2007 he served as the Town Attorney for the Town of Union. He served as President of the Tolland County Bar Association from 1983-1984. Michael Devlin officially retired July 1, 2021.

Kerry A. Tarpey
Partner
Attorney Kerry A. Tarpey graduated from the College of Holy Cross with her Bachelors degree in 1987 and the Western New England School of Law with her Juris Doctor in 1992. She was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1992; the Massachusetts bar in 1993; the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut in 1993; and the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts in 1994. From 1995 to 2002, Attorney Tarpey was a member of the Statewide Grievance Committee and served as its Vice-Chair from 1999 to 2001. She joined the firm in 2000. She is currently a member of the Tolland County, Connecticut and American Bar Associations as well as the North Central Connecticut Lawyers Association. Attorney Tarpey's concentration is Family Law, Civil Litigation, Real Estate Law, Collections and Foreclosure Law. She also serves as a guardian ad litem for minor children in divorce proceedings and as an attorney for minor children.

AnnMarie Alexander

Attorney AnnMarie Alexander graduated from the American International College with her Bachelor's Degree in 1985 and the Western New England College School of Law with her Juris Doctor in 2001. She was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in January 2002; the Connecticut bar in June 2002; the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts in May 2002; the United States District Court, District of Connecticut in September 2003; and the United States Supreme Court in January 2012. From 2001 to 2002, Attorney Alexander worked as a Law Clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Trial Court, Juvenile Court Department. She joined the firm in 2002. Since 2007 she has served as the Town Attorney for the Town of Union. She is currently a member of the Tolland County, Hampden County and Massachusetts Bar Associations as well as the North Central Connecticut Lawyers Association, in which she has been the Treasurer since 2003. She also served as the President of the WNEC Law Alumni Association from 2006 to 2007. Her concentration is Real Estate Law, Juvenile and Family Law, Criminal and Motor Vehicle Law and Civil Litigation.
